1. Use statement coloured basins
This trend has been creeping up for a while and seems to be taking off in full flight with many recent bathrooms including a statement coloured piece. In particular, pastels are a really popular choice and make a subtle statement in your bathroom. Think blush pastel pinks or mint green to create something unique.

If you are not a fan of the pastel finish then think of grey and black. Both colours will make a real statement and will look great against a white wall tile and pair well with a natural timber vanity.
2. Introduce Soft Curves

There has been a movement away from sharp lines and harsh edges to more soft profiles and smooth curves in bathroom mirrors and taps. The move from the angular and straight, mirrors the trend of the fashion and interiors industries to a more organic and free flowing “handmade look”. Think of round mirrors with back lit LED lights to make an on trend statement whilst still making your bathroom functional.

These timberline mirrors will not only look great but the backlit LED strip going round the mirror provide the much needed light.
You can also update your tapware with a more streamlined and smooth surface. Updating your tapware is also a relatively inexpensive method to update your bathroom without a complete bathroom overhaul.

Depending on the style you are going for you can choose something like the Olde English range from Astra Walker for that Hamptons style bathroom or the Icon + lever tap for a more modern look. Go for some colour to make the tapware really stand out.
3. Incorporate Coloured Tapware
Colour in bathroom continues to be a big bathroom trend in 2019. As mentioned above tapware is one of the more inexpensive changes to make if you want to refresh your bathroom without the cost impost. To make a real statement go for something bold like brushed gold, a softer metallic finish compared to the glossy range of late.
Matt black continues to still be popular, and if you want something truly unique try the brushed titanium with a crackled marble look lever, it will be sure to set your bathroom apart. Don’t forget if you are changing your tapware then it is always a good idea match your showerhead and showerhead tap/ mixer with your bath tapware to have that coordinated and cohesive look.
4. Use organic shapes
If you have the room to place a free standing bath, then make it the hero of the bathroom by choosing a free form shape. Rather than the traditional symmetrical or oval try a free forming shape, which is organic and natural flowing.

The irregular lines will draw the eye straight towards it making it the hero of the room.
5. Choose a feature tile
A bold pattern tile will instantly lift any bathroom and make the ideal statement.

Paired with subtle bathware such as a plain white or black basin or vanity and bath, not only will it highlight the bathware but it will also give your area a different point of difference.
